Bitget Resumes BTC Withdrawals Following Security Breach

Bitget has begun a phased resumption of withdrawals, starting with BTC on the Bitcoin network on September 28, 2026, at 08:00 UTC. The exchange previously suspended services after a security incident on September 24, where attackers exploited a vulnerability in a third-party security product to obtain internal credentials. Bitget confirmed that private keys were not compromised and that the estimated $387.5 million in affected assets will be covered by its Protection Fund.
