C12 and Thales Develop Quantum-Classical Hybrid System for Radar Tracking

French companies C12 and Thales have introduced QuantumTrack, a hybrid quantum-classical system designed for real-time radar target tracking. The system utilizes a quantum processor to solve the Multiple Hypothesis Tracking algorithm, which is a complex radar challenge. Tested on the 20-qubit Callisto emulator, the system achieved performance comparable to top classical algorithms while being significantly faster than other quantum annealers. The project, which reached TRL 5, is now preparing for physical processor testing.
