Greece Grants First MiCA Authorizations; HCMC Denies Lagarde Intervention in Binance Application

Greece has issued its first MiCA authorizations to four institutions: BCash, Xenios Blockchain Group, Capital Wallet Greece, and Piraeus Bank, bringing the total number of ESMA-registered entities to 359. The Hellenic Capital Market Commission (HCMC) explicitly denied reports that European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde pressured the Greek government to block Binance's previous application, which the exchange voluntarily withdrew on June 24.
