Zcash Developers Release Udon Component to Enhance Network Scalability

Zcash developers have integrated code from the proposed Tachyon scaling upgrade into the network's existing software to prepare for increased privacy transaction volume. The new component, Udon, was released to Zakura Common, a shared cryptography library used by Zakura and other Zcash projects. While Udon is now available as software, the upgrade has not yet been activated on the Zcash network. The long-term goal for the project is to support over 50,000 transactions per second.
