Vitalik Buterin: Hegota Fork Could Be Ethereum’s Final Routine Upgrade

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin outlined a new roadmap, suggesting that the upcoming Hegota fork may be the last "routine" upgrade for the network. Future developments will focus on transitioning Ethereum into a hybrid architecture incorporating recursive STARKs, automated formal verification, and quantum-resistant capabilities. The plan aims to reduce transaction finality to 8-32 seconds and adjust consensus and block-building mechanisms via PeerDAS, SNARKs, and FOCIL.
