Ledger CTO Questions Quantum Risk Estimates for Bitcoin

Ledger CTO Charles Guillemet challenged the view that only 30% of Bitcoin is at risk from quantum computing. He noted that while 30.2% of BTC has exposed public keys on-chain, many others remain vulnerable through off-chain storage or transaction exposure. He cited Google Quantum AI research suggesting that future high-speed quantum computers could potentially compromise secp256k1 keys in about nine minutes.
