Coinbase Receives CFTC Approval for Derivatives Clearing

Coinbase has secured registration for its own U.S. derivatives clearinghouse as of September 28. This authorization allows the company to clear fully collateralized futures, options on futures, and swaps, expanding its existing brokerage and exchange operations.
