Russia Projects $46.4 Billion in Compliant Crypto Trading Volume in First Year
Anatoly Popov, Deputy Chairman of Sberbank, stated that Russia's compliant crypto trading volume is expected to reach at least 4 trillion rubles ($46.4 billion) in its first year. This figure is projected to grow to 7.5 trillion rubles ($87.06 billion) by 2029. New regulations taking effect on September 1 will allow investors to purchase crypto assets through licensed brokers, with limits based on investor qualification. Official exchanges will initially support only Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDT, with registration for exchanges open until July 1, 2027.
