Cronos, Fogo, and Cosmos Face Chain Halts Amid Security Vulnerabilities
Recent security incidents have forced several blockchain networks to halt operations. Cronos validators froze the chain after an attacker manipulated the price of the low-liquidity token TONIC to drain approximately $75 million from the Tectonic lending protocol. Fogo also suspended its mainnet 15 hours after a hack involving 400 million FOGO tokens, while Cosmos Labs issued an emergency upgrade notice for its EVM module due to a shared code vulnerability. These events highlight the reliance on centralized validator coordination as a final defense mechanism
