Former White House Teleprompter Operator Fined by CFTC for Insider Trading on Trump Speeches

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has penalized former White House teleprompter operator Gabriel Perez for using advance access to Donald Trump's speech drafts to profit from prediction markets. Perez, who lost his job following the incident, was ordered to disgorge $107,500 in illicit gains and pay an additional $60,000 civil monetary penalty.
