Finland's LUMI-AI Supercomputer to Utilize AMD Hardware for 2027 Deployment
The European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking has selected French firm Bull to construct the LUMI-AI supercomputer at Finland's CSC data center. The system will feature AMD Instinct MI430X GPUs and 6th Gen EPYC 256-core processors. It is expected to provide double the HPC performance and ten times the AI computing power of the existing LUMI system, with deployment scheduled for the second half of 2027.
