Nvidia to Invest $3.5 Billion in MediaTek to Strengthen AI Chip Collaboration

Nvidia (NVDA) announced a $3.5 billion investment in MediaTek through the purchase of convertible bonds to deepen their partnership in AI chip development. The collaboration will integrate Nvidia's NVLink Fusion and NVHBM technologies into MediaTek's offerings, helping the chip designer compete with Broadcom (AVGO) and Marvell Technology (MRVL) in the data center market. This move follows similar strategic partnerships, including one with Amazon (AMZN).
