TSMC Executive Affirms Feasibility of Large-Scale CPO Manufacturing

Douglas Yu (徐國晉), Vice President of Advanced Packaging Technology and Service at TSMC (台積電), addressed concerns regarding Co-Packaged Optics (CPO) at SEMICON Taiwan on August 31. He stated that large-scale foundry production for silicon photonics is feasible, noting that lasers and optical fibers remain the primary bottlenecks.
