Bitcoin Core Contributor Peter Todd Joins MARA to Lead Slipstream

Bitcoin Core contributor Peter Todd has been appointed as the lead maintainer of Slipstream, a private Bitcoin mempool service operated by the MARA Foundation. Slipstream allows users to submit transactions directly to the MARA Pool, bypassing the public peer-to-peer network to maintain privacy before block confirmation. Todd, known for his work on BIP 125 and OpenTimestamps, will oversee the development and operations of the service, which has been utilized for research projects and to mitigate risks associated with public mempool exposure.
