Coinbase Completes Migration to Deribit, Shuts Down International Exchange
Coinbase finalized the migration of its International Exchange to Deribit on Oct. 1, 2026, at 10:02 UTC, effectively ending trading on its legacy international platform. The former venue is now in read-only mode, and institutional clients must transition to Deribit using new API keys and endpoints. Coinbase Bermuda Limited will continue to serve as the broker and custodian for these clients, routing orders to Deribit. Migrated perpetual positions will now settle daily at 08:00 UTC, replacing the previous five-minute cycle, and open orders were canceled rather than transferred.
