Blast Announces Shutdown, Advises Users to Withdraw Assets to Ethereum Mainnet by October 26
Blast has announced it is ceasing operations, citing that the costs of maintaining the Layer 2 network have surpassed its generated revenue. The team stated there is no credible path to economic sustainability. To ensure a smooth shutdown, the team is reducing withdrawal delays to 24 hours. Users must withdraw all assets, including Blast PWA balances, to the Ethereum mainnet. Withdrawals will be temporarily paused for about a week while the team liquidates its Lido holdings.
