21bitcoin Launches 1.21% Interest on Euro Balances Payable in BTC

Austrian platform 21bitcoin has introduced a 1.21% annual interest rate on uninvested euro balances, allowing customers to receive payouts directly in BTC without conversion fees. The interest applies to all euro holdings, including funds reserved for limit orders, with no minimum deposit or lock-up periods. The service is supported by German partner bank Volksbank Raiffeisenbank Bayern Mitte eG, where customer funds are held in segregated trust accounts. The company, which holds a MiCAR license, plans to expand its offerings to include Bitcoin-backed loans and multisig inheritance custody in 2027.
