Drift Foundation Launches DFX Claims and Redemptions

The Drift Foundation has launched the DFX claims and redemption process following the April 1 security incident. Users verified to have incurred losses can claim 1 DFX for every 1 USDT lost. Each DFX represents a claim on the Recovery Pool, which currently holds approximately 3.11 million USDT, funded by protocol revenue, Tether, and strategic partners. DFX can be redeemed for USDT based on the pool's balance, with redeemed tokens being burned. The claim window remains open until January 1, 2028, at 00:00 UTC. The foundation also reported that approximately 295 million dollars in user assets were stolen and identified the attacker as the North Korean threat group UNC6862 with the assistance of Mandiant, zeroShadow, and SEAL 911.
