Developer Uses Apple's Find My Network to Send Bitcoin

A developer has successfully transmitted Bitcoin using Apple's Find My network by relaying Cashu ecash tokens through nearby iPhones via a small, offline ESP32-based device. The proof-of-concept experiment uses Bluetooth signals that mimic lost-item beacons to transport data. Because the transport layer lacks encryption and the tokens are public, the developer warns that the method is only suitable for sending tiny amounts, as anyone who recovers a broadcast token can spend it.
