Broadcom to Provide Anthropic with Up to $42 Billion for AI Chip Leasing

Broadcom has agreed to provide Anthropic with a credit line of up to $42 billion to fund infrastructure and the leasing of AI chips, according to a pre-IPO prospectus. The deal establishes Broadcom as a supplier, lessor, and creditor for the AI developer. Anthropic is expected to become Broadcom's largest customer for custom chip development by 2027, with the funding covering roughly one-third of a five-year, $125.2 billion contract for computing power based on next-generation Tensor Processing Units (TPUs).
