Hyperliquid co-founder highlights advantages of blockchain markets

At Korea Blockchain Week 2026, Hyperliquid co-founder Jeff Yan emphasized self-custody and transparency as the primary benefits of blockchain-based trading platforms. Yan noted that while 24/7 trading is becoming more common in traditional finance, blockchain platforms offer superior control by reducing reliance on intermediaries. He also highlighted the growing demand for private markets, such as pre-IPO company valuations and commodities, noting that Hyperliquid's HIP-3 markets for assets like Nvidia (NVDA), Tesla (TSLA), and the Nasdaq-100 have seen significant volume growth.
