Ostium Launches Recovery Plan for $23.75M Exploit, Offering Full Repayment to 90% of Wallets

Ostium has introduced a recovery portal for liquidity providers impacted by a $23.75 million exploit on July 15. Over 90% of affected wallets are eligible for full repayment, with those losing 1,000 USDC or less able to claim the entire amount immediately. Larger holders can choose between an immediate 1,000 USDC payment or participating in a second-stage pro-rata distribution of recovered assets and future protocol revenue. Ostium has already recovered 649,967 USDC and indicated that the attack, which involved fraudulent BTC-USD price reports, may have been orchestrated by a state actor.
