Tokyo District Court Rules Against AI Voice Cloning

The Tokyo District Court ordered the removal of AI-generated videos mimicking the voice of actor Kenjiro Tsuda on September 30, according to Kyodo News. The court ruled that the commercial use of a digital voice clone violates the actor's right of publicity. The creator of the videos had been earning up to approximately $4,800 per month from the content.
