CME Group Targets 24/7 Capital Efficiency via Tokenized Cash

CME Group is partnering with BMO and Google Cloud to implement tokenized cash solutions using the Google Cloud Universal Ledger (GCUL). The project aims to allow institutional clients to meet margin calls and settlement obligations in real-time, bypassing traditional banking hours. Tested since 2025, the service is expected to launch in the second half of 2026, pending regulatory approval.
