DogeOS Launches Public Testnet for EVM-Compatible Applications

DogeOS, an application-layer project for the Dogecoin ecosystem, has launched its public testnet. Developers can now use test DOGE to build EVM-compatible applications, including trading, lending, and stablecoin protocols, with testnet fees paid in test DOGE. The project, founded by the MyDoge team, currently relies on a permissioned sequencer and trusted execution environments, with plans to eventually utilize zero-knowledge proofs verified by Dogecoin miners via the proposed OP_CHECKZKP.
