Arkansas Bank Warns Customers of Data Breach Following Vendor Error

Centennial Bank and its Happy State Bank division have notified customers of a data breach occurring on August 7, 2026, after a third-party vendor, Fidelity Information Services (FIS), misdirected a file containing sensitive personal information to an unauthorized recipient. The exposed data included names, addresses, dates of birth, account numbers, balances, tax information, and Social Security numbers. The recipient deleted the file and provided a Certificate of Destruction on August 26, 2026, confirming the data was not used or transferred. FIS has since implemented enhanced validation checks, and the bank is offering 24 months of complimentary credit monitoring to affected individuals.
