Bitcoin and Ethereum Post Strong Q3 Gains as Market Enters Historically Bullish Q4

Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) concluded a robust third quarter in 2026, with BTC rising over 42% to the 83,000–85,000 USD range and ETH surging approximately 71% to around 2,686 USD. This marks the first quarterly gain for BTC after three consecutive quarters of decline. Institutional inflows played a significant role, with U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recording roughly 2.4 billion USD in net inflows during the final week of September, while spot ETH ETFs attracted approximately 1.75 billion USD in August. As the market enters the fourth quarter, historically known as 'Uptober,' analysts remain cautious regarding seasonal performance due to macroeconomic factors such as U.S. bond yields and geopolitical risks. Currently, BTC is holding above the 80,000 USD level, while ETH continues to trade near 2,700 USD.
