DogeOS Launches Public Testnet for EVM Applications on Dogecoin

DogeOS has launched its public testnet, introducing an EVM-compatible application layer to the Dogecoin ecosystem. Developed by the MyDoge wallet team, the network utilizes zkVM technology and operates as an independent Layer, allowing developers to build applications without modifying the Dogecoin base layer. Transaction fees on the testnet are paid in DOGE, with various projects including lending protocols, perpetual futures platforms, stablecoins, and prediction market aggregators already integrated. A mainnet launch date has not yet been announced.
