Chainlink Co-founder Sergey Nazarov Highlights Role of Tokenization in AI Agent Finance

Chainlink co-founder Sergey Nazarov stated at the Sibos 2026 conference in Miami that tokenization is essential for creating an efficient financial system where AI agents can seamlessly access onchain cash, equities, and funds. During a panel with representatives from J.P. Morgan, GLEIF, and Microsoft, Nazarov emphasized that AI agents are evolving from passive assistants into active market participants capable of managing collateral and executing transactions. To support this, Chainlink has introduced 'Chainlink for Agents,' a framework enabling AI agents to register, make payments via stablecoins, and perform cross-chain transactions.
