Marinade Discloses DAO Voting Vulnerability and Malicious Proposals

Solana staking protocol Marinade reported that an attacker exploited a DAO voting vulnerability on September 25 to submit two malicious proposals. The attacker used the flaw to inflate their voting power using a small amount of MNDE. MNDE holders and the DAO Council rejected the proposals within six hours, preventing any treasury fund transfers. No funds were lost, and services including mSOL, Native Staking, and SAM remain unaffected. A temporary fix has been deployed, with permanent code updates and enhanced protection for sensitive proposals underway.
