Bitget Hackers Shift Stolen Funds to Zcash to Obfuscate Trails

Following the theft of approximately $387.5 million from the cryptocurrency exchange Bitget, attackers have begun utilizing the privacy features of Zcash (ZEC). On-chain investigator ZachXBT reported that the movement of funds into anonymous assets suggests an attempt to bypass tracking efforts as laundering routes are blocked.
