Coinbase Deploys 1,200 AI Agents to Optimize Internal Operations

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong revealed that the company currently utilizes approximately 1,200 AI agents, each performing the workload of a full-time employee. These agents assist in coding, design, and Slack communications, contributing to a doubling of code output per developer over the past year. Armstrong intends to implement an internal market system where internal platforms compete for clients, with AI agents acting as arbiters to evaluate service performance, latency, and costs.
