Base Network Deploys 'Cobalt' Upgrade with Enhanced B20 Token Features

Base has implemented its third network upgrade of 2026, 'Cobalt,' introducing 'Validity Transactions' that allow users to set specific conditions for transaction execution. The upgrade also enhances the B20 token standard with new features including composite policies, scheduled multiplier updates for stock splits, and asset seizure capabilities with memos. The team plans to reduce block times to 200 milliseconds in the upcoming 'Denim' upgrade.
