THORChain Declines Request to Block Funds Linked to Bitget Hack

THORChain has refused a formal request from Bitget to block addresses associated with the exchange's recent $380 million hack. Bitget CEO Gracy Chen and security firm SlowMist urged the protocol to intervene, citing the decentralized nature of the platform as insufficient justification for facilitating the movement of stolen funds. THORChain responded that it is a decentralized and permissionless network, comparing its position to that of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and BNB Chain.
