Bitget Official Addresses First Security Incident in Eight Years

Xie Jiayin (谢家印), head of Bitget Greater China, stated that the recent security breach was caused by a vulnerability in a third-party security product. While internal credentials were compromised, private keys and cold wallet assets remained secure. Bitget has partnered with Mandiant and SlowMist to conduct an independent audit and is upgrading its third-party component management.
