Coinbase Adds US Stocks and ETF Trading to 'Coinbase for Agents'

Coinbase has integrated US stock and ETF trading, along with x402 payment support, into its 'Coinbase for Agents' service. This update allows AI agents to trade thousands of stocks and ETFs 24/5, including fractional shares, via Coinbase Capital Markets Corp. Additionally, the x402 protocol enables AI agents to pay for real-time market data and analytical services using USDC directly from a Coinbase balance, eliminating the need for subscriptions. Coinbase aims to evolve this platform into an 'Everything Exchange' for AI agents, supported by user-defined security controls and spending limits.
