Luno Acquires Kenyan Payments Provider GTXN

South African crypto exchange Luno has acquired Kenyan cross-border payments provider GTXN to bring payment infrastructure in-house. The acquisition allows Luno to connect its liquidity directly with local payment networks in East Africa, reducing reliance on banking intermediaries. GTXN founder Dan Kleinbaum will remain as CEO, and the deal supports Luno's expansion into stablecoins, institutional settlement, and cross-border payments.
