CPO Equipment Suppliers Expand Capacity Amid Strong Demand

Suppliers of Co-Packaged Optics (CPO) equipment, including Hiwin Mikrosystem, GMT Global, and Toyo Automation, report order visibility extending into the second quarter of next year. Driven by demand from major Western and Asian firms, as well as emerging interest from Southeast Asia, these companies are expanding production facilities. Hiwin Mikrosystem has secured orders for thousands of linear motors and is negotiating collaborations for CPO alignment modules. GMT Global has achieved certification from top global optical communication brands and is expanding its assembly capacity, while Toyo Automation is planning new manufacturing sites in Vietnam, India, and Mexico.
