China's Data Center Capacity Hits 24GW, Surpassing EMEA and Rest of Asia Combined

According to a report by SemiAnalysis, China's total delivered data center capacity has reached 24GW, exceeding the combined capacity of EMEA and the rest of Asia. Alibaba (阿里巴巴), Tencent (腾讯), and Baidu (百度) saw their combined capital expenditures double year-over-year to $20 billion in the second quarter, with all three companies reporting negative free cash flow for the first time simultaneously. ByteDance (字节跳动) accounts for nearly one-fifth of China's delivered capacity, making it the nation's largest wholesale customer.
