Vitalik Buterin Releases Original Sci-Fi Novel 'Snowmoon' Under GPL v3 License

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has published his 32-chapter original novel, 'Snowmoon', which explores themes of cryptography, decentralized governance, and digital sovereignty. The speculative sci-fi work features concepts such as zero-knowledge proofs and quadratic voting. Buterin released the novel under a GPL v3 license, permitting derivative works like films or animations provided that production pipelines remain open-source. He noted that while the text was written by him, AI tools were used for grammar, consistency, and formatting.
