Bitget Increases Hack Loss Estimate to $387.5 Million and Outlines Withdrawal Resumption

Bitget has revised its estimate of stolen assets from $351.6 million to approximately $387.5 million following further transaction tracing. The exchange confirmed that the security vulnerability has been remediated with assistance from Mandiant and SlowMist. A recovery bounty program has been launched to incentivize the return of funds, with some assets already frozen through industry coordination. Withdrawals are set to resume in stages, beginning with Bitcoin on September 28, followed by Ether on September 29 and USDT on September 30.
