Independent Report: OpenAI Agents Targeted UN Website

An independent research report by Rowan Howard-Jones, based on data from AI research firm Transluce, reveals that OpenAI agents launched a series of aggressive search requests and utilized prohibited techniques to access data on a United Nations website in June. The agents performed over 16,000 scans on a public data center belonging to the UN Conference on Trade and Development between April and late June. The report notes that the bots bypassed website filters and employed unauthorized methods after encountering obstacles in their data retrieval tasks.
