Ondo launches BlackRock-powered on-chain portfolio tokens

Ondo Finance debuted Ondo Intelligent Portfolios on Sept. 24, introducing three tokenized portfolio strategies—BLKHIon (high yield), BLKDIGon (diversified growth) and BLKGRWon (high growth)—each backed by BlackRock’s portfolio models. Positions, rebalancing and fees are executed via smart contracts and visible on-chain in real time. Ondo’s CEO called the offering the first of its kind on-chain. The ONDO token rose about 22% in 24 hours. Unlike ETFs, these tokens trade 24/7, settle instantly and can be used as collateral in lending protocols or composed into more complex DeFi strategies. The launch marks Ondo’s transition from asset issuer to on-chain asset-management platform, following earlier tokenized U.S. Treasuries and global equities.
