BitMEX Ceases Operations After 11 Years

BitMEX, the crypto derivatives exchange, officially closed on September 23 after 11 years of operation. While the website remains accessible for withdrawals, new deposits are no longer accepted. The company has introduced monthly fees for remaining balances on verified accounts starting October 1. Separately, the Celsius bankruptcy estate is pursuing a legal claim against HDR Global Trading for at least 6,360 BTC.
