UBS Forecasts AI Capital Expenditure to Reach $1.4 Trillion by 2027

UBS projects that global capital expenditure on artificial intelligence will rise to approximately $1.4 trillion by 2027, largely driven by a significant increase in memory costs. Memory-related spending is expected to grow from $71 billion in 2025 to $923 billion in 2027, accounting for about 60% of the total increase in AI capital expenditure.
