Story of 'Bitcoin Pharaoh' to be adapted into a feature film

The story of Glaidson Acacio dos Santos, known as the 'Bitcoin Pharaoh,' will be adapted into a Brazilian film titled 'O Faraó dos Bitcoins,' scheduled for release in the second half of 2027. The film will star Christian Malheiros as Glaidson and Lorena Comparato as his wife, Mirelis Peres, depicting the rise and fall of their company, GAS Consultoria. Directed by Sergio Rezende, the production is based on the investigative book 'Queda Livre' by journalists Isabela Palmeira and Chico Otávio. Filming is set to take place in Rio de Janeiro between September and November, with the project receiving approximately 5 million Brazilian reais in funding from the Fundo Setorial do Audiovisual.
