Alibaba's Qwen team has open-sourced Qwen-Image-2.1, an image model featuring a 7B parameter visual generation component. The model integrates text-to-image generation and image editing, supporting transparent image creation, multi-image synthesis using up to 10 reference images, and local editing tools like selection and masking. It also offers improved fidelity for portrait and product editing alongside enhanced text layout capabilities.
