FCA Crypto Authorisation Gateway Opens September 30

The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) will open its application gateway for the new cryptoasset regulatory regime on September 30, 2026. The primary application window will remain open until February 28, 2027, ahead of the regime's official implementation on October 25, 2027. This transition shifts crypto firms from a simple anti-money-laundering registration to a comprehensive authorization structure under the Financial Services and Markets Act.
