Zcash holders vote to maintain halving schedule and delay ZEC recycling until 2031

Zcash token holders have voted in an advisory poll to preserve the current halving schedule and postpone the recycling of funds from the Network Sustainability Mechanism until February 2031. The poll, which saw participation from over 2 million ZEC, also favored disabling Sprout-era v4 transactions at the NU7 upgrade, reducing target block spacing to 25 seconds, and proceeding with NU7 without features that miss the September 30 deadline. These results provide guidance for the upcoming network upgrade but do not mandate specific changes.
