Anchorage Digital Bank begins custody for physical uranium token xU3O8

Anchorage Digital Bank N.A., the first federally chartered crypto bank in the U.S., began offering custody services for xU3O8 to institutional clients on September 16, 2026. The token is backed by physical uranium concentrate, with the underlying material stored at Cameco facilities and held via a UK trust structure. Issued by Uranium.io with Archax acting as trustee, the asset is mapped on the Etherlink network. Cameco manages the physical storage and publishes regular proof-of-reserve audits. Regulated by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Anchorage Digital Bank allows clients to hold xU3O8 in segregated, bankruptcy-remote accounts similar to Bitcoin and cash equivalents. The token currently trades at approximately $5.66 with a market capitalization of about $9 million.
